An exciting opportunity to be involved in a partnership project between Bradford Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust and Cancer Support Yorkshire supported by Macmillan Cancer Support.
In response to the results of a Cancer Patient survey we have developed this role. Over the next 12 months we hope to work to improve the experience of cancer patients by increasing the emotional support and information available to them.
You will be based both at BRI and at Cancer Support Yorkshire (on Smith Lane). Your shift will be split between the 2 venues.
You will be able to:
- Commit to a 12-month period of volunteering with a minimum of one shift of 3 hours per week.
- Communicate well with a wide range of people.
- Be involved in the evaluation of the project and contribute to its future development.
- Attend additional training as required by the role – there will be a 3 day induction before starting work on the wards.
If you are interested in applying for the role please complete the application form below and return it to Voluntary Services by 30th September 2018.
If you have any questions please contact Voluntary Services office on 01274 364309.
