On of our supporters, Phil Hiley, has secured a place in the London Marathon and has chosen to support us. Read more…

Message from Phil: “I’m gearing up to run the London Marathon on 26 April 2026, and I’m raising funds for Cancer Support Yorkshire. This amazing charity has been a lifeline for many, including a friend’s wife and a much-loved work colleague who both received incredible support during their cancer treatment, and they can’t speak highly enough of the help they have received. The charity’s doors are always open, and it is a friendly, safe space to go, to connect with others on similar journeys through art, craft, yoga, and meditation, to name a few, which funding helps to facilitate.”

Phil is also supporting Baildon C of E Primary School PTFA, who do fantastic work raising funds to improve the children’s experiences and opportunities during their time at school.

He would love to hit his joint target of £1,000 and said “every little bit helps keep these vital services going strong. If you can chip in, it would mean the world to me and those who benefit from these causes”.

All donations to the charity would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who has also secured a place in the Marathon but is yet to choose a charity, please consider Cancer Support Yorkshire.
