Cancer Support Yorkshire is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative which offer grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores awarded to local community projects.
Three groups in every Tesco region are shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.
Cancer Support Yorkshire are excited to announce that it is one of the groups on the shortlist at the Tesco store in Skipton.
The Skipton centre has been open now for 4 years and has struggled to find the funds to freshen up and redecorate, this along with plumbing problems over the winter months last year has now left a desperate need of new decoration.
Cancer Support Yorkshires Skipton team will be instore at Tesco’s in Skipton on Saturday 27th October to raise awareness of the work they do and the fundraising events planned over the winter months. Come along and say hello!
Voting will open in the Tesco store in Skipton during November and December and customers can cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop.
