Amy Brown is a clinical hypnotherapist who runs her own practice, ‘The Power of Your Mind’, in Skipton and, also works as a therapist at the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Looking for ways to help people during the lockdown, she decided on a 1-hour Mind Massage, online session which included using visualisations and imagination to relax the mind and body. The session held on May Day was free, but anyone wishing to donate to Amy’s chosen charities, the hospice and Cancer Support Yorkshire Skipton Centre were welcome to do so.
The session was a success and the people who accessed it were more than generous raising £1,048.50 to be shared between the two charities. Amy’s fundraising page is still open to anyone who would like to support both charities:
