Date: Sunday July 21st, 2024

Start time: 08:00  End time: 16:00

For the past 36 years, your local, independent charity, Cancer Support Yorkshire has been here to help patients and their families with the practical and emotional effects of a cancer diagnosis. Our services are free of charge, and this is possible due to the kind donations we receive and the support of our fundraising events such as the Dragon Boat Race.

Boats for this year’s Charity Race Day are available now from Cancer Support Yorkshire Register Now

Supporting our charity would help you too, with your

· Corporate Social Responsibilities.

· Demonstrating support of a local charity.

· Team building.

· Raising awareness of your business.

A £250 entry fee (non-refundable) will secure your own Company Boat.

Each boat requires a team of up to 17 people (min. 13) to participate in three races on the day and raise sponsorship for the charity. The three fastest overall teams enter the final race in a bid to be crowned champions.

All teams require a name,  a captain, an online fundraising page - i.e. JustGiving, and a commitment to raise £100 per person, to cover the full cost of the boat and a donation to the charity.

Each boat costs £600, which CSY have already paid.

Therefore, the minimum number of participants raise £100 each their donation to the charity would be an amazing £950!

E.g. 13 x 100 = £1,300.00. Minus £600 (the cost of the boat), = £700 remains, plus the entry fee of £250 = £950.00 in total.

The practical and emotional support that we offer to support people affected by cancer are all free of charge, and £950.00 would help so many local people at a time when they need it the most.

If you would like to go ahead and enter a team, please follow this link and complete the form.

Thank you very much for your continued support, we couldn't do what we do without you.
