At our satellite centre in Skipton we can provide some of the same excellent services that are available at our Bradford centre, but at a site that is more conveniently positioned for residents of the Airedale, Wharfedale and surrounding districts.
Our classes in art offer a welcome diversion for many, whilst our relaxation group offers an opportunity to unwind. These are a great way to meet other people who understand exactly what you are going through and to chat with others in a similar position.
All of our services are free to access.

Once you have been contacted by a member of our team, an appointment for an Initial Meeting will be made for you.
Initial Meetings give you the opportunity to talk in confidence and for us to tell you about the support we have to offer.
Each meeting takes place at the Centre and lasts about 30 minutes, during this time we will listen and ask questions and then together put a suitable plan in place.
Tell us what you need and we'll be there to give you as much or as little support as you feel you'd like.

Our volunteer team of qualified complementary therapists offer a range of therapies that can help you feel better. Therapies
Whether that's by reducing stress and tension, relaxing and easing sleeplessness, or giving you coping skills to deal with anxiety.
If you are being treated for cancer, some complementary therapies can provide symptom relief for pain and sickness as well as helping with fatigue.
We have a wide range of therapies available all of which will be discussed and considered as part of your programme of support during your initial meeting. However if you would like to find out more about a specific therapy that we have available please see below:
Aromatherapy is the controlled use of essential oils to promote physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing. Our treatments are usually offered in the form of a gentle massage after a holistic assessment by your therapist.
Hypnotherapy involves reaching a deep and natural state of relaxation, which helps to relax and calm the body and mind. The therapists will help you to enter a deep relaxed state and will take you through a relaxation routine. At all times during a session you will still have complete awareness and control.
Massage can help to promote physical and mental relaxation and stimulate the body’s vital energy to encourage circulation and lymphatic flow. The therapist will adapt the technique used to suit your individual needs after your initial consultation.
Indian Head Massage
This is a massage which works on the shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and face. It can help ease tension, promote relaxation and help to reduce stress. This therapy can be performed with or without the use of essential oils.
Reflexology is a spa treatment where the therapist works on "reflex points" on your feet - it is a deeply relaxing treatment with benefits that can be felt throughout the body.
The Bowen Technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen's unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body
The Alexander Technique is a way to feel better, and move in a more relaxed and comfortable way... the way nature intended. An Alexander Technique teacher helps you to identify and lose the harmful habits you have built up over a lifetime of stress and learn to move more freely.
Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT is a powerful, drug-free, easy-to-learn and easy-to-use technique that can reduce stress or painful emotions associated with thoughts, past experiences, etcRead More
Our volunteer team of qualified Counsellors and our Counselling placement volunteers provide a confidential counselling service. All personal information disclosed is confidential to the Centre. No information is disclosed to a third party without the permission of the person concerned except in exceptional circumstances such as the safety of an individual or a legal requirement.
Counselling offers people an opportunity to speak to someone who is not involved in any other way in their lives about matters which may be worrying or distressing for them. One of the most important aspects which our volunteer counsellors can offer is time on a regular basis to focus on inner thoughts and feelings. The counsellor does not give advice but will listen and discuss the courses of action which are open to the individual.Read More
